The Greenwood Gators traveled to Portland, TN, for a season-opening scrimmage Tuesday, winning 7-3.

Coach Jason Jaggers and his team open the regular season with two games Saturday, March 12, at home. The first game starts at 11 a.m. against Glasgow, and the second starts at 4 p.m. versus Muhlenburg County.

Coach Jaggers is expecting underclassmen to step up this season to make up for the loss of 16 seniors.
