Halle&Claudia’s Reviews: Best and Worst Dressed of the Grammys

This past Sunday, musical stars gathered in one place to celebrate one another’s accomplishments from the year at the Grammy’s.  Celebrities dazzled the red carpet and stage in a variety of different outfits.  The clothing choices gave us an insight on the stars styles.  We went through each one and gave our opinion, whether it be positive or negative.  This is Halle&Claudia’s Review: Best and Worst Dressed of the Grammy’s.

CeeLo Green (42)

CeeLo Green gave Star War’s C-P30 a run for his money in his floor-length gold costume on Sunday.  When asked about the bold choice he explained that it wasn’t him who terrorized cameras and reporters on the red carpet, rather his new alter-ego Gnarly Davidson.  As far as best or worst goes…I’d say it is a matter that everyone should determine for themselves.  One thing we do know is the 42 year old gave Davidson a proper introduction.

Adele landed herself on almost every best dressed list with this classic Givenchy gown. Givenchy is no stranger to the red carpet, having dressed hundreds of stars before. The dress features an assortment of patterns that are not only visually appealing, but are quite flattering.

Chance The Rapper (23)

It’s no surprise that Beyoncé made it to everyone’s best dressed list  Beyoncé performed “Love Drough
t” and “Sandcastles” on the Grammy
stage in a gold beaded gown designed by Peter Dundas. It is quite apparent that Dundas had a clear vision for this gown. Beyoncé’s face was embroidered on the showstopping dress. The dress was no easy task; 50 people
worked constantly for an entire week to complete the gown, however their work was well worth it.

Beyonce Knowles (35)

Who doesn’t love Chance the Rapper in a tailored suit? Chance the Rapper Wore a custom Thom Browne
denim suit. His look was praised by critics, and put him on many best dressed lists. He was successful on the carpet as well as on the stage when he was awarded best rap album over Kanye West and Drake.

Carrie Underwood (33)

Country’s sweetheart Carrie Underwood chose a ruby red gown that included a high neckline and a keyhole cutout complimented with a middle slit and exaggerated sleeves.  It’s details and embellishments earn it a spot on the best dressed list.  The wife and mother knows how to slay a red carpet.  Underwood announced Sunday that she was taking a break from music following the awards show to live her life. She is taking her own version of a “Smoke Break.”

Girl Crush

Girl Crush walked the red carpet in a skirt made out of multi-colored plastic balls and a pink bedazzled bralette.  She resembled a Lady Gaga wanna be, which lands her a spot on the worst list.  Points for trying to keep it interesting, but more points deducted for lack of class and style.

Celine Dion (48)

Celine Dion’s dress would be complete with some garland and a start atop of her head.  The singer’s red carpet choice closely resembles a green Christmas tree, complete with a bow in the front.  Dion unfortunately goes on the worst dressed list this year.

Katy Perry has always been bold with her red carpet appearances, but this time the dress she chose just did not do it for her.  The Tom Ford design included a high neckline with long sleeves dazzled in gold sequins at the top.  The bottom half  transitioned to champagne feathers that followed a ombre pattern in regards to color.  The mix was bold but just not our favorite.

Elle King (27)

Elle King had the clear idea of roses for her over the top grammy dress featured an

Katy Perry (32)

excessive amount of roses. The custom Teuta Matoshi gown was topped off with a rose flower crown. Overall the idea wasn’t horrible, however the execution was subpar.

Kelsea Ballerini (23)

Kelsea Ballerini stunned the red carpet in her beautiful Ines Di Santo gown.  It included tulle and lace detailed with aqua flowers and a bronze beaded overlay completed with a flowing train.  The “Peter Pan” singer set the standards high and definitely was one of the best dressed of the night.
