Greenwood traveled to Bowling Green on Monday May ninth to play the first game in the conference series. The boys started off strong with Senior Caleb Miller pitching, creating a 2-0 lead in the first two innings. The purples started to push back in the bottom innings creating an end score of 2-6 in Bowling Greens favor.

We met the Purples again the next day at Greenwood instead of East’s field due to weather. Bowling Green got the best of us in this game, with an ending score of 16-2. Since senior Caleb Miller met his pitching count on Monday Greenwood faced the reoccurring growing pains and had five different pitchers. Luke Carter, Scotty Harris, and Chandler Wilson all struck a batter out each. John Hicks and Jack Blair both had a RBI for Greenwood.

Greenwood hosted Bowling Green for their third and final game at home. The outcome looked bleak in the 7th inning when Greenwood was behind 3-1. But with bases loaded Tanner South hit a grand slam causing Greenwood to have three runs making the final score 4-3 in Greenwood’s favor. The energy was crazy  and the team went crazy, charging the field at senior Tanner South.

Also congratulations senior pitcher Caleb Miller signed with Campbellsville University this week!
