Owensboro was very strong throughout most of the season after going 4-11 to start the season. After that the Rampage went 29-3-3, ending the season on a high note. Aside from the State Tournament, Owensboro won two other tournaments this season; the Adam Allgeyer Memorial tournament in Columbus, Ohio and the New Year’s Tournament in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The Rampage beat Henry Clay 2-1 in the first round of playoffs, and went on to play Dunbar in the semi-finals and beat won 6-1. The Rampage then went on to dismantle Trinity in the State Finals.
Caine Burke said “Trinity was talking so much trash before the game (Trinity tied the Rampage earlier in the season) and after we won, they lied about their score on their school website. It doesn’t matter because we’ll do it again next year” bold words, but Caine thinks the team is going to do big things in his Junior year.
