Reading is more important than you think. You may say, “I dont need to read”. But lets face the facts, you have and need to read! Reading helps you in many, many ways. Here are some of the ways it can help you…

Reading helps you have less stress. Reading give you a different kind of relaxation. The stress levels of those who read dropped 67%. So snuggling up with a good book helps the stress you have and makes you feel more calm. Which means The more you can relax and drop all your worries and problems.

 

  1. Memory Increases:

Reading gives your brain a good  work out, giving your brain something to think and remember about. Which helps your memory..

 

  1. Test Scores:

By reading your exposed to new ideas, grammar and all of that helps you improve your chances of getting a high grade on any test. Reading helps your brain function in many ways, which make you think differently.

 

  1. Vocabulary Increases:

When reading it helps your vocabulary. Reading more challenging books with some vocabulary that you don’t know is a good thing. Reading the word, pronouncing it, and looking for ways how to use it. Registers the word to your brain and it will be stuck in your mental dictionary, increasing your vocabulary can help you in your life dramatically. Like if you’re going to present something for a job,and you’ll need to describe it. Using bigger academic wording will help your chances at getting the job you want in the future.

Reading about people doing exciting new things and meeting new people.  Makes you think about yourself and the things you want to do. Like reading about people overcoming obstacles, might give you some courage and might to do some things you’ve been wanting to do for a while.

Reading a good story can uplift your spirit! Making you feel very happy for the rest of the day. Even if the ending wasn’t so good, but knowing you read the whole book and just finished it give you the feeling of doing something good for yourself. You also get in a positive attitude when seeking for a new book.

The whole reading in all just helps your intelligence. It requires you to focus on the words on the page. Focusing is hard for some people but concentrating on a book, helps you become a better learner. The more you read, the more things you know.

Alzheimer’s Disease is a progressive disease that destroys memory and other important functions. So when reading, your brain will be forced to pay attention and keep it working. So those who read, and keep your brain working are 2.5 times less likely to get Alzheimer’s disease.

Reading helps your writing, by giving you a open mind and imagination. Books help us expand our minds and give us a wide variety of the ways we look at the world, and writing about it can lead to some really amazing stories. It give you creativity to write interesting stories. If you’re not reading you can miss out on some really great ideas.
