The holidays are coming quickly, along with the cold weather of the season. While some may be able to nestle up in a blanket drinking hot chocolate, others are out on the streets with no place to keep themselves from the bitter cold.

But efforts from programs like Hotel Inc, are helping to provide a place for people to go to when they need to.

Hotel Inc’s mission is to, “provide Warren County citizens with pathways to stable housing, community resources, building relationships, quality food, and serving our neighbors.”

A major resource that has benefited many in Warren County is Hotel Inc’s Manna Mart. The Manna Mart is a food pantry that provides a shopping store for their clients (to become a client of the food pantry you must bring your Driver’s License or State ID, the Social Security cards of everyone in your household, and proof of address).

Hotel Inc partnered with Meijer through the Simply Give Program: so when a purchase is made at Meijer, you can donate to your local pantries, and they will double the money donated.

Also provided to those who need it, is Inc’s Drop-In Center Services. The Drop-In Center offers extended services like: housing navigators (people who are able to aid in housing applications), mail services(you can receive mail through Hotel Inc), phone usage (use the phones provided), computers (used for housing or job searching), showers, and laundry machines.

Hotel Inc is just one of the many programs making an effort to take people of the streets our community. Other efforts have been taken by “Room in the Inn” and Salvation Army Shelters to help people in our town get off the frigid streets that the upcoming season will bring.
