Thursday, May 10, the Greenwood Track and Field Team traveled to North Hardin High School to compete in the Regional meet.  In each event, the top two athletes from each school would be competing in the race for State. To qualify for the State meet you are required to finish first or second in the event, or be in the next top 10 in the state rankings.  The athletes from Greenwood that are headed to state are:

Michael Hathaway – Triple Jump and High Jump

Joel Muamba – High Jump

Carly Miller – Shot Put

Bradley Herman – Shot Put

Amaya Salvador – 4×400 Relay, 4×200 Relay, 4×800 Relay

Kelsey Dinning – 4×400 Relay

Callie Strode – 4×400 Relay, 4×200 Relay

Erin Heltsley – 4×400 Relay, 4×800 Relay

Kelsey Dinning – 800m Open, 4×800 Relay

Megan Une – 4×200 Relay

Erin Heltsley – 4×200 Relay

Kyle Heltsley – 4×800 Relay

Eli Combs – 4×800 Relay

Will Sanders – 4×800 Relay

Walker Goshorn – 4×800 Relay

Jessie Strode – 4×800 Relay

In addition, 26 female athletes and 21 male athletes beat or tied their season best performance at the Regional meet.  Congratulations Gators!
