On April 20th, 2018, celebrity DJ, Tim Bergling, who went by AVICII, was found dead Friday afternoon.

Known for his 2013 summer hit, “Wake Me Up”, the 28 year-old was vacationing in Muscat, Oman, when his body was discovered by officials in his hotel room.

AVICII’s cause of death hasn’t been released, but it is said that he struggled with multiple health issues. He had taken a break from touring and live-performing a few years back, due to the overwhelming stress and anxiety that came along with it. Additionally, one major health issue of his was acute pancreatitis, which he believes was caused by his excessive drinking habits.

Although his death was sudden, Royal Oman Police confirmed that there was no criminal suspicion involved in AVICII’s death.

Family, friends, and fans are devastated about his death, and he will truly be missed. He made his mark on the music industry, and his talent and passion for music will not be forgotten.
