Seniors Avery Witcher and Tanner Cummings both signed their letters of intent Wednesday afternoon to commit to swim at the collegiate level. Family, coaches, and friends all gathered at the Warren County Aquatics Center to join these two athletes in celebrating this major stepping stone.

Witcher will be attending Bellarmine University this fall in the class of 2022.

¨I´m really happy with my choice of school because it is a place where I can continue my education and athletics. It is just a good environment where everyone wants to succeed and always want to push themselves to do their best.¨

Cummings will be continuing his swimming and educational career at the University of Louisville later this year in the class of 2022.

“I chose to attend U of L because it is a large school that is on a small campus. There are great dorms, extracurricular activities, and many resources to help me over my four years. Lastly, an amazing swim team that fits everything I wanted and will help me get to the next level.”

Witcher and Cummings have both been swimming for many years with RACE Aquatics and Greenwood High School. Throughout the years they both have had many accomplishments with multiple first-place finishes in the state and attended numerous high-level swim meets.

This is just the first of many steps for these avid athletes in their collegiate athletics.
