Greenwood’s Future Businesses Leaders of America recently competed in Owensboro at the 2018 Region 2 Competition. Some of the events that were outstanding for this club included Local Chapter Newsletter (Chloe Cummings and Allison Brown), Public Speaking (Claudia Witcher), Social Media Campaign (Amy Ngo and Chandler Flynt), and Intro to Business (Harper Poppelwell). This Chapter led by Natalie Dyer and Dan Dillingham also received Largest Local Chapter Membership. All the students listed below have qualified for the state competition in Louisville, Kentucky on April 16, 17, and 18.

Results from the competition:

2nd place Broadcast Journalism – Maggie Gholston, Ella Crowe, and Annee Lasley

3rd place Business Law – Sam Carini

3rd place Global Business – Olivia Henderson and Eliza Witty

2nd place Graphic Design – Catherine Gott and Anna Scott

3rd place Hospitality Management – Avery Witcher, Victoria Bucklew, and Kelsey Dinning

2nd place Intro to Business Presentation – Chapel Volkert, Anne Logan Perkins, and Autumn Wiles

3rd place Local Chapter Name Tag – Audrey Wiles and Benito Vallero

1st place Largest Local Chapter Membership

2nd place Job Interview – Izzy Hunt

3rd place Help Desk – Martin Alfaya

1st place Local Chapter Newsletter – Chloe Cummings and Allison Brown

1st place Public Speaking – Claudia Witcher

2nd place Publication Design – Ellie Belcher, Maddy McCorkle, and Eliza Witty

1st place Social Media Campaign – Amy Ngo and Chandler Flynt

2nd place Sports and Entertainment Management – Jackson Adams, Ali Zia, and Wes Burtnett
