For all those book worms seeking new reading content, here are eight YA (young adult) books coming out in March.

 

The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw – Available March 1st

In the cursed town of Sparrow three witches were drowned in a lake two centuries ago. Now every year on the day of their death the three sisters possess three weak-hearted girls and lure boys to drown in the lake. Penny Talbot has accepted the fate of the town until a stranger named Bo Carter arrives on the eve of the sisters’ death. Penny and Bo must unravel secret after secret from each other and avoid the witches.

 

Mara, Daughter of the Nile by Eloise Jarvis McGraw – Available March 1st

Mara is a beautiful and proud slave girl who yearns for freedom. In hope to gain it, Mara becomes a double spy for two enemies- each supporting a contender to the throne of Egypt. Mara soon finds herself falling in love with one of her masters, Sheftu. Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi – Available March 6th

Inspired by West African culture, this story follows Zélie Adebola fights to restore magic to her land after the ruthless king had all maji killed, including her mother. With the help of a rogue princess, Zélie must outrun the crown prince who is hell-bent on eradicating the maji. While facing many dangers, Zélie must also learn to control her own powers.

 

To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo –  Available March 6th

After a cruel twist of fate, Princess Lira of the sirens is turned into a human as punishment by her mother the Sea Queen. Lira, with seventeen princes’ hearts under her belt, is tasked with bringing the Sea Queen Prince Elian’s heart by the winter solstice. Prince Elian loves the sea, much more than ruling his kingdom, and has the gruesome passion of hunting sirens. Blood Water Paint by Joy McCullough –  Available March 6th

The Falling Between Us by Ash Parsons – Available March 13th

Told from the perspective of Roxie, Joshua Blackbird’s girlfriend from home. Joshua Blackbird became an overnight internet sensation after a video is published of him singing an original song. Joshua must deal with a growing die-hard fan base called “Birdies”, international tours, and record deals as he’s plucked out of his middle-of-nowhere town. There’s a fake romance with a teen pop princess and a terrifying stalker, with anyone and everyone trying to grab a piece of fame. Then suddenly, Joshua Blackbird disappears.

 

Miles Away from You by A.B. Rutledge – Available March 20th

Through a series of instant messages, Miles Away from You chronicles a difficult healing process for Miles. Three years ago, Miles fell for a wonderful and talented transgender girl named Vivian. Eighteen months ago, Vivian attempted suicide which left her permanently on life support. Miles now has to figure how to go on without her and how to say goodbye. He books a solo trip to Iceland but then has trouble leaving his hotel room. With the help of an endearing and aloof local named Oskar, Miles finally decides to honor Vivian by photographing her treasure Doc Martens standing empty among the beautiful landscapes. Miles finds his heart healing slowly but must  accept that Vivian will never recover.

 

The Way the Light Bends by Cordelia Jensen – Available March 27th

Virtual Twins Linc and Holly were extremely close as children.
