The 2018 Winter Paralympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea will begin in almost two weeks. A whopping 670 athletes from across the globe are looking to challenge their opponents in hopes of winning a medal.

The Paralympians will be competing in six sports which include: wheelchair curling, biathlon, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, ice hockey, and snowboarding. A total of 80 events will encompass the nine days of competition.

The host of the games and the Pyeongchang Organizing Committee have created a project to help benefit paralympic winter games in the hope of increasing the number of athletes participating in future years. The project is called “Actualising the Dream”.

NBC will be covering the games from Friday, March 9 through Sunday, March 18.
