Makeup is full of new possibilities and ways to express yourself. This leads to some very creative, but interesting creations. Here is how to achieve two classic beauty trends.

Fake Freckles

Fake freckles are very easy to achieve. There are very different ways to get a freckled look.

One of the ways is to take a brown eyeliner pencil and draw little dots over the nose, forehead, cheeks, and chin. Once you have drawn on the freckled you will want to take a damp beauty blender and lightly tap it over the freckles. This will make them look more natural.

The other way you can apply the freckles is with a stipple sponge and some brown eyebrow gel. To do it this way all you need to do is, round the stipple sponge edges with a pair of scissors. Then you need to dip the stipple sponge into the brown eyebrow gel, make sure to dab the sponge onto something so it doesn’t come off too dark on your face. Lastly you will want to dab the sponge over any area on your face that you want freckles on.

Space Buns/ Top Knots

Space buns and top nots have made a very big come back in 2017. They were first brought up the 90s, but like a lot of trends from that time period they are coming back new and improved.  

There is a slight difference between you make a top knot and a space bun. Space buns use all of your hair and a top knot use only the top layer of hair.

To make a top knot you will first split your hair into a middle part. Next you will take the top half of your hair and separate it into a half up half down, making you have two pigtails. Once you have two pigtails you will need to grab the end of one pigtail and backwards comb your hair, volume adding more. After teasing both pigtails, you will grab one pig tail and wrap it around the hair tie. Once you have the wrapped your hair around the hair tie you will bobby pin the buns in place.

Space buns are a little easier to make, because it allows you to be messier. The process of making space buns is quite similar to making top knots. You still start off by parting your hair into a middle part. After you split your hair into a middle part you will put both sections of hair into a high ponytail, making you have pigtails. You’ll next want to tease your, so you have more volume. After you tease you will want to wrap the pigtails around the hair ties. The final step is to bobby pin the the buns into place.
