King James Quickest Member of 30,000 Club

On Tuesday night, during the basketball game against the San Antonio Spurs, LeBron James scored his 30,000 point.  He is the youngest out of seven players who have achieved this title, only being 33 years and 24 days old.  He beat out the previous youngest player in the club, Kobe Bryant, by a year and 80 days.

The other five members of the club include Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain, and Dirk Nowitzki.

James will need to play 5 more seasons, and score twenty points every game if he wants to move to the number one position.  This position is held by Abdul-Jabbar with 38,387 points.

James has played 1,107 games throughout his career and averages 38.8 minutes. He averages 27.1 points per game.  He was the first pick in the NBA draft of 2003, chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers.  In 2010, he switched over to the Miami Heat, staying there for five seasons before transferring back to the Cavaliers in 2014.
