Greenwood’s varsity football team won its home opener Friday night, manhandling Allen County-Scottsville, 38-18, being quarterback Jackson Adams’ five touchdowns. With the win, the Gators improved to 2-0 on the young season, bringing a heightened wave of excitement to the Swamp. The Gators face a tough test next week, traveling to South Warren. Friday night lights won’t return to the Swamp until Sept. 18, when the Gators face Logan County.
