Our very own Greenwood Gators basketball teams have just competed in the district tournament. During this season, these teams have worked very hard to get where they are now. Even though they only have a few games left to play, they are continuing to play their hardest.

District Stats:

Girls: Although the Lady Gators lost their first game 57-70, they still put up some impressive statistics. Rose Mary Jackson was the leading scorer of the game with a total of 31 points. Also, Alexis Jessup ended the night with 11 rebounds which was the most rebounds for that game.

Boys: In the first game of the tournament, the boy’s team had an exciting win, 56-53 in double overtime. For this game Jack Roberts was the leading scorer with a total of 23 points. He was also 100% accurate on his free throws, (9/9). Also, Alex Fee ended the game with the most amount of rebounds, (10). Unfortunately, the boys lost the championship 48-89 but they still continued of n to the region tournament.
