App Fever Apps Sweeping Across the Nation

Easily the largest social media network on the internet, Facebook takes its place as the site with the largest user base in the world. With 1.19 billion users, the creators of Facebook have amassed an empire.This is a place where families can connect with the current events happening in the world.
Twitter isn’t nearly as close to having as many users as Facebook, but Twitter is a very popular app that is used daily by 300 million users. Twitter is an online app that allows users to send short messages called “tweets” about how they feel, with other people having the ability to retweet (repost) and like them.
Snapchat, a quickly growing app, has 4.6 million members. Snapchat is an app where people are able to take pictures or videos that only last for a certain amount of time, from 1-10 seconds, before they’re permanently gone from the system. Also, users are able to add quirky effects to it to make it look better. One of the most famous Snapchat users is DJKhaled that makes “inspiring” videos to the public complimenting his users and informing them on the things they need to do in life.
Youtube easily is one of the largest apps on the internet. It is a very large video broadcasting site with over a billion users. People post videos every day with an estimated 2 billion videos uploaded everyday. Some famous channels include, but are not limited to Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, Smosh, Jenna Marbles and the most famous PewdiePie.
Instagram is yet another image and video sharing site, but a very popular app with 400 million users. Users can upload pictures and videos to share with their followers about their daily lives or users looking to get noticed by the public.The most famous person on Instagram is no longer Justin Bieber as we know it but instead Kim Kardashian West has taken the throne from Justin.
Tumblr, a site that says it’s a blogging app, but lays the hilarious and joke-filled articles on to you. This is a site where very few blogs are serious and lots of odd and outdated jokes go around the community of over 30 million users.
Pinterest, a very large image sharing site, hosts 100 million users. From sharing nice family memories to posting quirky and often hilarious memes. Pinterest can at times be the app that people spend hours of their time staring at and flipping through images.This site is also popular for its DIY crafts and tutorials.
Lastly Vine, spanning around 40 million users, is used to upload silly and quirky videos to the public, but with a catch: they can only be six seconds long. Most of your typical Vine feed is filled with people creating comedy sketches and silly or dumb things to get noticed by the public. A particular “viner”, as the vine community calls it, has 15,111,875 followers on vine. KingBach makes funny sketches that are based around stereotypical jokes and stunts.
