As we all know, the Deadpool movie has been long awaited for and now it’s almost here. February 12, 2016, is the lucky date picked for the movie release, but some people don’t know you can actually see it as early as 7:00 on the 11th. But you’re going to have to hurry; tickets are going fast.  The Deadpool movie is hopefully going to rock the world this February and it’s a good start to 2016!

Deadpool is played by Ryan Reynolds, who has been waiting a long time for the role and opportunity. Reynolds will help bring the crazy and fun-loving aspects of Deadpool’s character in the comics to life through his performance.

Deadpool was once known by the name Wade Wilson. He was in a group of fighters including Wolverine, Sabretooth and some others. He was taken and tested on in a lab, which ended up giving him his rapid regeneration ability. But at the same time power comes with a cost, and he lost his mind in the process, becoming child-like and immature, yet hilarious at the same time.

Despite his antics, Deadpool also lives up to his name, packing dual swords and twin guns. If you saw the movie X-Men: Origins, you would have seen a Deadpool character that was miscast completely by the movie itself. That’s another great reason for making the new movie.

Below is a trailer for the movie:

Deadpool looks like a very interesting, long awaited comedy/action movie. Many Greenwood students would give it 10 stars out of 10 easily from what they’ve seen in the trailer. So we’ll have to see how good the movie is on the 12th (or the 11th if you’re an early bird).
