Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in Warren County

On April 9 at 8 p.m., a male suspect was arrested. He was caught because of a reported shots fire call and the police responded. The call had reported a man wearing a gray and red shirt and was chasing after someone with a gun in their hand.
This call happened on Old Morgantown Road where authorities had responded. Another person had reported a bullet had passed through their residence on Parkside Drive. A caller alleged the suspect’s name was Davonte Barns. Reports had said he tried escaping in a red Ford Pickup. He was later met down the road and was stopped. He had given the authorities some troubling stories, and was soon after arrested.
The charges were attempted murder and wanton endangerment.
