Coronavirus Makes an Impact Across Kentucky
March 20, 2020
Today, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced that all Kentucky public schools, including Warren County, will now extend their shut down time to April 20.
Beshear has also announced that the state of Kentucky strongly recommends people to stay away from social gatherings such as church services and community events. Most social events have however already been postponed or canceled due to the growing of COVID-19 in the U.S.
New data shows that in the state of Kentucky there are 12 new cases, bringing the total number of cases up to 47 and the death toll up to 2. The cases are spread across the following counties: Jefferson, Fayette, Christian, Harrison, Daviess, Henderson, Warren, Pulaski and Kenton.
It is strongly recommended that people stay away from one another as much as possible to help stop the spread of the virus. Around the country major sports events, schools, and even colleges have shut down. The Governor has reassured the people that by taking these precautions we will get through this faster.
