If you weren’t at the Warren County Regional Airport this past Saturday (April 25th), you missed out!

Starting at 8:30 and going into the afternoon, the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society held a 5K dog walk to raise funds for their Adoption Center. Participants could bring their own dog or “borrow” a dog from the Humane Society to walk during the 5K.

Afterward, there were tents set up in the field by the airport where participants could get free pizza, hot dogs, and more, provided by local businesses, as well as animal-related merchandise.

The goal of the walk was to get adoptable dogs out and about, where they could have some fun and also meet potential owners. Some dogs, including the dog I walked, found new homes, and several traveled all the way from Logan County in search of forever families.

In addition, Radar the Weather Dog and representatives of WBKO made an appearance to show their support.
