The Rich family household is filled with the sound of pattering feet, but not human feet. Officer Rich, the Student Resource Officer here at Greenwood, and his wife are the proud adoptive parents of a full family of cats. Their three sweetest darlings are Buster, Harley, and Knick Knacks.

Buster joined the family after they rescued him from the Humane Society. He was the runt of his litter and no one wanted him, but Officer and Mrs. Rich saw that he was a sweet and wonderful personality, and they knew that he belonged in their family.

Harley was also rescued, after he was found by Mrs. Rich at her workplace. He had been abandoned and was starving, to the point where the family was afraid he wouldn’t live much longer. However, he has since grown to be an energetic, healthy cat of 20 lbs. His personality is laid back and friendly, and according to Officer Rich, Harley is what made him a cat person.

If you have any information on Knick Knacks's whereabouts, please contact Officer Rich through the Greenwood High School front office.

Knick Knacks, the third star of the family, is an orange Tabby who  Officer Rich came across as a kitten while responding to a complaint by a Warren County resident. The resident was Knick Knacks’ owner, who didn’t want to keep him anymore and had asked Officer Rich to bring Knick Knacks to the Humane Society. On the way to the shelter, however, Officer Rich bonded with the kitten and decided to adopt him. Knick Knacks settled in wonderfully into their household and became a deeply-loved member of the family. Last May, however, Knick Knacks disappeared from the Springfield subdivision in the Hidden River area. The family have not seen him since and are deeply worried. They hope that someone has found him and will eventually respond to their posters and return Knick Knacks.

If you have any information of Knick Knacks’ whereabouts, or if you would like to hear more about Buster or Harley, please contact Officer Rich through the front office or contact the Kentuckiana Lost & Found Pets Network.
