Choir Department Raises $2000 in Gala Silent Auction and Performance

On August 25th, a gala and silent auction was hosted in the cafeteria to fund raise for Greenwood’s three choirs: the beginners’, SSAA women’s, and SATB mixed choir. Soloist and small groups performed songs of their choice, as well as the acapella group. The choirs performed three songs each, and a combine performance with the women’s and mixed choir. Around $2000 was raised from the auction, and will be put toward buying music, choir attire, and other essential items needed for performances.

  • House at Pooh Corner, arranged by Audrey Snyder. Soloists include Maya Markel and Brandon Hardcastle.
  • A Million Dreams, arranged by Mac Huff. Soloists include Brooke Gilbrethm Rachel Dim, Ally Adams, and Natalee Scott.
  • Heaven!, arranged by Ruch Elaine Schram.

Womens’ Choir

  • Niska Banja, arranged by Nick Page. Duets include Kennedy Roberts & Anne Elizabeth Zoellner, and Olivia Otto & Angelina Santos.
  • Breaking Up is Hard to Do, arranged by Roger Emerson.
  • You Can’t Stop the Beat, arranged by Roger Emerson. Soloists include Kyah Gunn & Elizabeth Vensel-McCoy

Combined Advanced Choirs

  • Past Life Melodies, by Sarah Hopkins.

Mixed Choir

  • Jubilate Deo, by Adriano Banchieri
