By Nate Upchurch, Reporter

On Tuesday, Sept. 18, the Greenwood Gators boys varsity soccer team beat the South Warren Spartans 3-1 in the thrilling match up.

The game started with the Spartans scoring in the middle of the first half of the game, which would be it for scoring in the first half of playing time. The second half had many great saves by our goal keeper, Drew Loiars. The Gators tied up the game in the 31st minute with a goal by Simon Thang, which was it for action for a while.

The next goal was scored by Ramtha Ceu in the last 4 minutes of the game. After the 2nd goal, the defenders didn’t let up and didn’t give the Spartans many more chances. The last goal was scored in the last minute of the game by Matias Llontop, which solidified the Gators’ win against the Spartans.

The Gators’ next game will be Thursday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m. at home against Christian County.
