The people of Hawaii are seeking shelter due to a massive hurricane heading towards them. Hurricane Lane was a category 4 but currently a category 2. The big island of Hawaii has already received 31 inches of rain. The hurricane has gone to a category 4 to a 2 but the hurricane is still very strong with winds at 39-130 MPH. Hurricane Lane has caused fires to break out according to NY Daily News. Currently, Hurricane Lane is headed towards another major island in Hawaii, Oahu. So far 28 counties in Hawaii have been evacuated.
