FANTASY FOOTBALL IS BACK!
August 29, 2018
Football is back which means more ways to show your love for the game. Time to calculate your accuracy on rushing, passing, and kicking yards.
You may hear that Defense wins champions but for this game to win you need intelligence. The players you choose will have a higher chance on points depending on who their teams plays. A weak defense can give offensive plays a better chance, but that also can go the other way around. In this source you will be informed on the top 3 best options for this years fantasy choice.
Quarterbacks:
Tom Brady – At 41 years old, he still play like he is in prime, Tom Brady AKA “The GOAT” is consider the best QB of all time. He sure does show that he is all season in his 15 years of playing. 5 Superbowl championship rings and never had his team being a underdog; what can go wrong with this choice?
Aaron Rodgers – You may say that he lost all receivers but with a strong position of tight end taken up by a veteran like Jimmy Graham will lower his chances his chances of jumping out of the pocket so much. Jimmy is a excellent blocker with a strong cut move for routes, adding this weapon to Aaron Rodgers is huge on offense. Aaron had a serious injury last season and with surgery healing up he is ready for a fresh comeback.
Drew Brees – This is a strong guy who brought a championship to hurt city after serious storm known as hurricane Katrina. He has two young running backs in 1,000 yards club from last season. Having some allusive talent in the back field for help great for a small first-down yards to go too very big touchdown.
Running backs:
Todd Gurley – One of the rushing leaders in yards last season for LA Rams with a new big contract, you can expect a lot out of this guy. New big time receivers for the secondary to worry about which leaves a open gap for Todd Gurley and once he has a hole he is gone for big time fantasy points on your team.
Le’veon Bell – The shiftiest running back is ready to prove to the “Pittsburgh Steelers” that he has a big imapct on the team. The Steelers has had contract issues with him in the past and can’t find easier way to negotiate with him. This is his last year for his contract so for him to show he needs big money, he has to give it his all and from last seasons games he sure knew how to rack up yards for them fantasy team owners.
Ezekiel Elliott – A rushing leader with a amount of 6 missed games due to a suspension in the 2017 season and still hit over 900 yards. 900 yards plus 6 more games would have been nice to see and definitely something that would go in the history books. Coming off of a shorted season like that, we can most likely expect one his best seasons this year.
Wide Receivers:
Antonio Brown – Most Dependable wide receiver in the league, also ranked #1. This guy will gain you points but in a huge way with the team using him for mostly big gains. Antonio is one receiver who is used to having big games last year having 8 out of his 14 games with 100 yards or more including one game having 213 yards. Antonio is a big guy for for long touchdown passes instead of those short throws in the end zone gaining fantasy owners more points.
Julio Jones – This is the biggest reason why the falcons dominated the playoffs in 2017 to make in to the Superbowl. Averaging 15.0 yards per catch last year why bet against this freak of nature. The falcons don’t have any other big time receivers on the squad this coming up season. So you can assume this guy will get passed the rock more then he had already.
Odell Beckham JR – This guy has a whole new big contract for the Giants and there offense has certainly got a big new piece with the new rookie Saquon Barkley the rushing game. Odell is cleared from injury and made a good bond Saquon Barkley. The offensive game plan for Giants should be a lot better special with Odell back making big plans for him to be used and more points in the end zone.
Tight Ends:
Rob Gronkowski – This guy has been #1 in his position every year with best Quarterback in the NFL it would be hard not to choose this guy. He is hard, physical, and hard to tackle giving him more yardage. Rob is basically the only strong weapon Tom Brady has with the release of Top 5 wide reciever Brandon Cooks, release of Danny Amendola, and retirement of Eric Decker. New England made it to the Superbowl without Rob Gronkowski with a rough start and lost. So you can definitely know they will try again with him.
Travis Kelce – The slickest tight end in the league. Travis had a total of 8 touchdowns last year and 1,038 yards. Patrick Mahomes taking over at quarterback, Kelce’s ability as a vertical threat should improve, so perhaps he will be able to do better then he is already to add on to solid 12.7 yards-per-catch career average.
Zach Ertz – A Superbowl winner last year and had a lot of impact to due with it. Zach was targeted 216 times by Wentz in the last two season. The team still in question on who to start this year but for sure we know there favorite target is Zach. This year should be big for zach knowing the offense mainly runs around him.
Defenses –
Jaguars- They have the best secondary in the NFL today with two of the best Coner-backs in the game Jalen Ramsey and A.J Bouye still new and young, who can execute man and zone coverage. The Jaguars defense should look the same as last year and if the not then better.
Vikings – This defense was rank #1 last year but starts ageing later in the season. They look so good in big situations but let small things get in the way but doubt have one of the best pass rush and pass coverage combo, As if there was a such thing as a two piece combo on a quarterback. The viking are working differently with a new quarterback and you can expect them to lean more on the defense.
Eagles – Defense win championships right? This defense was solid with a top 3 finish in fantasy points last season. They haven’t lost any big players they just added a really big time player ( DE MICHAEL BENNETT) This defensive unit is poised for another good season.
Sleepers:
David Johnson – Once was ranked #1 running back in the league but with a week 1 injury on his wrist stopped him last season, with a weak offensive line his team was ranked at a very low #30 for rushing yards without Him last season, I still would bet against him.
Tyreek Hill – The only guy you will see earn you points for receiving, rushing, kick return, and punt return yards or touchdown like does every season. Tyreek AKA ” The Cheetah” is no doubt one of the fastest players in the NFL of all time, The only thing is the team either uses Tyreek in a huge way to win or in a small way to win but with a new quarterback starting this season, we can only know till we see it this year.
Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram – The offensive Rookie of the year and the last years elite back with 1,000 yards plus was the best running back combo last year. Two Pro-bowls backs is fun having on a team but they will have to share the spotlight of stats. These can easily get 100 yards each in one game, it would be weird not to pick at least one of them.
Adrian Peterson: At the 32 years old most running backs usually retire in their in there very early 30’s. Running backs retire due to stress on knees from hundreds of hit over time. Adrian was released from his former team viking who no longer wanted him and signed with saints who no longer needed him ether then to Cardinals for the last of the season. but Adrian Peterson is a future hall of fame player and has a statement for this year as he approaches his debute on Redskins.
Rookies to give a chance:
Saquon Barkley – Best pick out of the entire draft, which pretty much already had a starting spot reserved for him. Saquon had 39 yard run for his first play so we can assume he got more then that for him.
Lamar Jackson – It’s not yet said if 2016 Heisman trophy winner Lamar Jackson will start week 1 or not. All everyone knows is this guy will give big points being the fastest quarterback right now with sum strong shiftiness. Rushing points by a QB can be huge but lets not forget to give this man credit when credit is due. He has a cannon with a scope for a deep throw.
Baker Mayfield – Baker is at a point where he is most likely to start but not only that he is determined too. Baker Mayfield is 2017 Heisman trophy winner has shown that a the browns practice. The browns has had a bad record year which means bad teams to play but the biggest struggle every year for them was a need for a quarterback so with this addition, these fantasy owners might be seeing something.
