  • Twilight Zone Day – There is no known reason  who the creator of this holiday was or why they chose this day; however, the Twilight Zone is a television show by Rod Serling. This production was a collection of creepy and thought-provoking stories in the Fifth Dimension. You can celebrate by getting together with friends or family and have a Twilight Zone marathon or by creating your own story.
  • Eat What You Want Day – Take May 11 as a day to break your diets and eat what you want. You can celebrate, of course, by eating whatever you want.

Saturday, May 12:

  • Limerick Day – A limerick is a “a humorous, frequently bawdy, verse of three long and two short lines rhyming aabba, popularized by Edward Lear.” This unofficial holiday is intended for people to read and write limericks, so you can celebrate by doing just that.

Sunday, May 13:

  • Frog Jumping Day – The reason for this season is a book by Mark Twain called Jim Smiley and His Jumping Frog, according to many sources. To celebrate you can figure out how the bets turn out by reading this short story or simply jump around like a frog.

Tuesday, May 15:

  • Chocolate Chip Day – This is a day to celebrate these tiny bits of chocolate that were accidentally created by Ruth Wakefield. To celebrate, learn about this lucky mistake here or you can add these sweet morsels to everything.

Thursday, May 17:

  • Pack Rat Day – A pack rat is “a person who saves unnecessary objects or hoards things.” Therefore this is the day to do some spring cleaning and decluttering and make space for new things to come. You can celebrate by getting organizing and doing some serious cleaning.
