College can be pricey and you might be thinking, I can’t afford that. To help with the expenses, colleges have come up with scholarships. Here are some scholarships that the guidance counselors have provided that you can apply for.
- The Carpenter-Dent Scholarship
- This scholarship is to award “students of Pharmacy” from the counties of Allen, Simpson, and Warren. The scholarship is awarded to students based on their records and the students’ need for assistance. The amount of the award and number of recipients varies from year to year. The application deadline is June 1, 2018.
- The Kentucky Federation of Republican Women
- The Kentucky Federation of Republican Women grants $1,500 to college-bound high school senior girls who have been politically active within the Republican Party. The senior girl will have to have plans to enroll in a Kentucky university. The deadline to apply is April 2, 2018.
- Bluegrass Cellular Scholarship
- This scholarship is for students that are Bluegrass Cellular’s customers. Students must have a GPA of at least 2.5 at time of application (must be in unweighted format). Fifteen students will receive a $1,500 scholarship. The deadline is April 2, 2018.
