Make a Heart
February 20, 2018
As you all know, the fatal school shooting in Parkland, Florida has affected many people. One of the hardest and scariest things to do is come back to school. However, some art teachers are trying to make a difference. The art teacher at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School is doing her best to decorate the building with hearts and other meaningful objects, with the help of others.
Ms. Soule, the art teacher here at Greenwood, would like to contribute. She is asking everyone to cut out, and decorate a heart so she can send them to Florida to hang in the school. Ms. Soule is hoping to ship the box of hearts by Friday, February 23. Also to promote this project, she would like people on social media to use the hashtag #nomoreemptydesks to represent the students and teachers who did not make it through the shooting.
