Army Boot Camp Forges Recruits into Soldiers

Basic training, more commonly known as boot camp, is both mentally and physically challenging to all who go through it. Each of the military branches has its own basic training program. For the Army, there are 4 base locations–Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.; Fort Knox in Louisville, Ky; Fort Leonard Wood in Waynesville, Mo; and Fort Sill in Lawton, Ok. It’s an “intense experience,” and what one takes from basic training is life-changing in all aspects. The purpose is to help the recruits become tougher and capable of anything thrown in their way.
