Roscoe is a great guy who’s had a hard life.

This 3-year-old Beagle is currently at the BGWC Humane Society, but he is looking for a new home. He is the sweetest little dog, who loves the outdoors and getting belly rubs. He is a staff favorite at the Humane Society, where he’s made lots of friends with dogs, humans, and cats alike. Also, he has been sponsored, lowering his adoption fee, so his prospects for getting adopted soon are good.

However, Roscoe has not always had it so easy. Roscoe was taken into the Humane Society after he was found injured, hit by a car. His leg was split open and he had other injuries, so it was very difficult and expensive to get him fixed up. Additionally, he contracted heartworms sometime during his time as a stray, which is very expensive and somewhat painful to treat.

Thankfully, the Bowling Green animal-lovers community responded quickly to raise money for his treatments, and a kind foster mom opened up her home for him to recover in, so he is on his way to being fully happy and healthy. His medical conditions should not be a significant financial or time burden for his new owners, so don’t let that stop you from bringing this lovable little guy into your home. If you’d like to adopt, foster, or sponsor Roscoe, check out his Petfinder.com page here. As always, please help this little buddy out by spreading the word about him and the Humane Society on social media.
