He may not seem like it, but Jake is a lucky boy.

Jake is a 5- or 6-year-old Pug/Beagle Mix from the Simpson County Humane Society, but he is also up for adoption at the BGWC Humane Society. Simpson County is a high-kill shelter, meaning that space is so tight that if a dog can’t get adopted for a long time, they may be euthanized. By being adoptable through the BGWCHS, a very low-kill shelter, Jake has a second chance to find his forever home.

Jake has a goofy, lovable personality. He is very laid back, but is also sweet and affectionate. He also loves toys and playing, and even plays fetch with himself. When he isn’t running and playing, though, Jake likes to walk around and explore.

Jake is still looking for a home, and the sooner he gets adopted, the sooner another animal can take his place at the shelter and begin looking for their forever family. Please consider adopting or sponsoring Jake, or spreading the word about him.
