You can’t find a dog with more personality than Brownie!
Brownie is a beagle mix at the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society, who soaked up lots of love and attention at the Humane Society’s Valentine’s Day adoption drive this weekend. The drive was held at Pet Smart on Gary Farms Boulevard from February 13-15th, and it showcased over twenty dogs, as well as a huge array of cats, from the Humane Society. Brownie made an instant connection with almost everyone she met, drawing them in with her sweet personality and adorable face. She loves people, but she is a little shy at first and can get scared easily. However, once she gets to know people, she is super playful and affectionate.
Like a true dog, Brownie has a strong attachment to her special bone. The bone was given to her by a volunteer at the adoption drive, and her first action was to bury it under the pile of blankets in her crate and sit on the pile. She fought sleep and guarded the bone all night, until she finally gave in and took a nap, deciding to use my hands as a pillow when I reached in her cage to pet her. Once she was loaded into her cage to return to the Humane Society, I noticed her bone sitting in its cage all by itself, so I brought it out to her and she immediately smiled.
Brownie is a beautiful dog with an even more beautiful personality. We wish her the best of luck finding her new forever home!
