Recently, Tayler Stinnett (17) has left Greenwood, to pursue her dream. Tayler has gotten a $32,000 scholarship to the Institute of American Musical Theatre in New York City. This resulted in her having to leave high school early, as she can’t be enrolled in two schools, so she is finishing her last two credits at Beacon Academy, an online school she accesses every day at home. She will be leaving for NYC this summer and attending the school for two years starting in the Fall.

Although she is no longer at school, life is pretty normal, except for the social part. She wakes up, does as much school as she can, then goes to five hours of dance practice, every day.

This has allowed her more free time to pick up vocal lessons, study Broadway and how the art form thrives in NYC, and practice dancing. “Basically my senior year is on fast forward. I’m cramming in two years of high school into one. But I’m very excited for what the future holds. I’m very humbled to experience such a different life as a teenager”

Something I’ll always hold with me is something that I learned from another broadway star. You are enough. You are so enough. It is unbelievable how enough you are.”
