Warren County Schools: Report-A-Bully

By Baylee Kilgore

Though the service is not known to many, Warren County Public Schools offers an online bullying report service. The website is called “Report-A-Bully” and can be accessed through the Warren County Public Schools website(http://www.warrencountyschools.org/).

Almost everyone has experienced bullying at some point in their lives, and our school system is taking positive strides in combating the issue. Warren County Public Schools refers to bullying as “any intentional act by a student or groups of students directed against another student to ridicule, humiliate, or intimidate the other student while on school grounds, or at a school sponsored activity, which acts are repeated against the same student over time.” Sometimes you may not feel comfortable sharing about being bullied in person or fear that someone may hear you talking about the situation, but with “Report-A-Bully” it is completely online.

When you open up the Report-A-Bully website, you will be brought to a form where you will fill out information about the bullying incident. You will be asked to fill out:

  • Your name
  • Your school name
  • Your grade
  • Your homeroom teacher
  • Name of the bully
  • Grade of the bully
  • Time of the incident
  • Location of the incident

After you fill out the form you will be asked to describe the incident in further detail so that administration will be able to handle the situation properly.
